A funding cut reduced FDCLA’s 2025 edition to a single day — Saturday, October 11 — free and open to the public at the Rose Marine Theater. No awards were given. In the festival’s own words:
Un recorte de fondos redujo la edición 2025 de FDCLA a un solo día — sábado 11 de octubre — gratuito y abierto al público en el Rose Marine Theater. No se otorgaron premios. En palabras del propio festival:
“This year, FDCLA’s funding has been impacted due to the current political climate. As a result, our festival will feature one day of screenings, free and open to the public. We look forward to returning next year with a full lineup and events to demonstrate our resilience and community! ¡Si se puede!”“Este año, el financiamiento de FDCLA se ha visto afectado por el clima político actual. Como resultado, nuestro festival contará con un solo día de proyecciones, gratuito y abierto al público. ¡Esperamos regresar el próximo año con una programación completa y eventos para demostrar nuestra resiliencia y comunidad! ¡Sí se puede!”
